Giants Play Host to Metallica Night Again

Baseball. It’s as American as apple pie and, it would appear…Metallica.

For the second time in just over a year, the San Francisco Giants honored the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers with their own special night.

“We had such an amazing time last year supporting our local team and hanging at the yard that we jumped at the chance to do it all again,” the band said prior to Friday’s game.

Fans that made the trek to AT&T Park to see the Giants take on the Miami Marlins were given an inflatable Metallica/Giants-themed guitar and a set of equally-themed guitar picks.  Throughout the night, fans also took part in a silent auction that raised more than $31,000 for the Giants Community Fund.

Oh…they were also treated with a unique version of the National Anthem.
