Earlier in the season, Boston Red Sox pitcher Clay Buchholz was accused of using a mixture of sunscreen and rosin to get a better grip on the ball.
Now…it's his teammate Jon Lester who might be under the microscope.
Wednesday night, during Game One of the World Series, the Boston ace was seen going to his glove during the seventh inning and, to some, it appeared as if he was doing something sinister.
"(I'm) not going to make allegations," Melling, a pitcher in the St. Louis Cardinals farm system told The Hall, "but being a pitcher myself and watching over again…sure looks like it to me."
But Melling wasn't the only one that thought Lester's performance was not on the level.
I don't pretend to know what's going on (nor do I want to, really), but is this a "where there's smoke, there's fire" sort of situation…or do we just ignore it and move on to Game Two?
Now theres this. You decide…guilty or no?
(Well done @mattsebek)
