CM Punk Trades Bat for Folding Chair

For some reason, the relationship between baseball and professional wrestling has been a storied one.

So, it should come as no surprise that WWE superstar CM Punk was on hand at "The Friendly Confines" Saturday for Kerry Wood's Wiffle Ball Classic.  That's right, the Chicago Cubs superfan joined the former Cubs hurler and other celebrities (including Bill Murray and Jenny McCarthy) for a little celebrity Wiffle Ball action in the outfield grass of Wrigley Field.

And when it was time for the "Best in the World" to take his turn at the plate, Punk traded out a bat for something a little more familiar…a folding chair.

The vintage uniforms are pretty rad too.  To check out more pictures…click HERE!

Shawn Anderson is that guy who, instead of sitting there talking about the game going on around him, is talking wise about the history of baseball. He believes baseball figures such as Tommy John, Harold Baines, Ron Guidry and Billy Martin deserve their own plaque somewhere if not in Cooperstown. You can follow him on Twitter at @HOVG.
